The front of the June 27 lava flow remained stalled Friday.
“An overflight this morning showed no movement whatsoever on the front of the flow,” said Hawaii Councy Civil Defense Administrator Darryl Oliveira. “There was very little movement. There was a small finger of lava back from the front of the flow that averaged about 50 yards a day of movement the last few days, and there was some activity along the perimeter margins, buut nothing that has advanced the front and put the flow any closer to Apaa Street.”
The flow front remained 0.6 miles from Apaa Street and the area of the Pahoa tranfer station.
